Resort Collection - Summer '24

I created a speculative ready-to-wear runway collection to get back into the mode of designing clothing for its own sake instead of for a cast of specific characters. This does not mean the collection lacks specificity - I used this collection as a means to express particular ideas and fascinations in fashion that I had been formulating for some time. Although it is theoretically for a "high fashion" space, I wanted to keep a core campiness and a decent dose of bad taste alive within it. Through doll-like scale and proportion, reflective and fetish-inspired materials, and colors that verge on clashing, I evoke some of my favorite aspects of drag culture, queer nightlife, and the innovations of subculture.
